Frequently asked questions

FAQs

Why don't you accept insurance?

The goal of New Day is to put as few barriers between you and your doctor.  This allows for more options, such as longer appointment times, virtual visits and greater accessibility.

Can I ask my insurance for reimbursement?

Yes! Many insurance providers will reimburse you for your out of pocket expenses.  You will be provided with an invoice and superbill after your visit.  These documents are needed to request reimbursement from your insurance carrier.

What if I need paperwork filled out?

Disability, family medical leave and other medical documentation is sometimes necessary.  It should be filled out by the doctor who knows you best.  For this reason, if you are not yet established in care at New Day, and need forms such as these completed, please ask your current psychiatrist or provider to complete them.

If you are a patient already, please schedule an in person appointment to allow completion of paperwork.

What about controlled substance medications?

New Day has a focus on limiting medications of all kinds when able; in the case of controlled substances, this is even more important.  New Day policy is that care should be controlled substance free.  This means that no new controlled substances will be prescribed, and existing prescriptions will likely be weaned.
